Honda Amaze – An Amazing Car For The Family

Honda India had a modest market in India, with the Honda City being the sole best seller for the company until recently. However, with the launch of Honda Amaze, the company saw a turnaround of events and their cars began to sell like hotcakes. In fact, the success of Honda Amaze prompted the company to introduce a diesel version of the Honda City. The City was going through a low phase, when Honda decided to revamp it and introduce its diesel avatar. This was done after the successful launch of Honda Amaze diesel version.

Amaze not only the first ever diesel powered Honda car in India, but also the first compact sedan to roll out of the stables of the carmaker. Based on the Brio platform, the Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre i-vtec (petrol) engine and a brand-new 1.5-litre i-dtec (diesel) engine. The diesel variant of the Amaze became an instant hit in the Indian market, forcing Honda to rethink and realign its strategies. Honda Amaze Price is Rs. 4, 99,900 – 7, 55,000.

The Amaze looks very stylish and appealing on the exterior. It comes in attractive colors and attractive features, which makes it a delight to watch.

On the interior too, the Amaze offers stylish designs and features. The interiors are similar to that of Brio, though the extended wheelbase of the Amaze gives it more cabin space. Therefore, the Amaze has better headroom and legroom. As a result, five passengers can travel in utmost comfort in this car.  Moreover, the big windows of the car give it an airy feel. The Boot space is about 400 liters, which is enough for carrying the luggage of the entire family.

The other comfort features inside include driver info display, steering mounted audio controls, ABS, airbags, keyless entry and cup holders among others. It also offers a powerful AC unit and a good quality audio system for entertainment.

The Honda Amaze (diesel variant) offers an amazing mileage of about 25.8 kmpl, which makes it the most fuel-efficient car in the Indian market at present. Even the petrol variant offers a decent mileage of 18 kmpl, which makes the car a popular choice in terms of fuel economy.

Honda Amaze comes with great safety features like ABS as standard on higher versions. Apart from this, other important safety features like airbags, central locking, child lock and seat belts are also provided as standard in the car.

A sub-compact sedan with a price tag of INR 5.2 lakh, the Honda Amaze could fit into the budget of the car buyers looking for an entry-level sedan. Its superior handling, space and excellent mileage help the Honda Amaze to ward off the competition from its rivals.
